MV AGUSTA MAKES ITS DEBUT AT WHEELS AND WAVES

The Schiranna brand brings the full soul of the brand to Biarritz: innovation, competition and historical heritage

MV Agusta announces its first official participation in Wheels and Waves in Biarritz, for over a decade one of the most iconic international events dedicated to the world of motorcycling, where performance, custom culture, art and lifestyle come together in a unique atmosphere.

MV Agusta's presence at the Biarritz festival stems from the synergy between the Company, its French subsidiary and dealer partner MV Agusta Bayonne, and is part of a strategy of direct engagement with the brand's key international communities — those who share the same vision of the motorcycle as an object of desire, an instrument of emotion and a moving form of art.

Inside the Wheels and Waves village, MV Agusta will present its 2026 lineup. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the bikes firsthand through demo ride sessions organised throughout the duration of the event — a rare chance to discover the dynamic and emotional qualities of Schiranna's motorcycles on the road.

Alongside its contemporary production, including the recent Brutale Serie Oro and Superveloce 1000 AGO, MV Agusta will bring to Biarritz a selection of historic vehicles from its own heritage, bearing witness to a continuity of values that spans decades of Italian industrial and sporting history. Among the pieces on display, a very rare MV Agusta CSS 175/204 cc from 1958 — an extraordinary example embodying the technical excellence and stylistic refinement that have made MV Agusta an icon far beyond the boundaries of motorsport.

Wheels and Waves is not only about display and culture: it is also about competition. MV Agusta will take centre stage in two of the festival's most anticipated races. At the Punk's Peak Race, the celebrated acceleration run along the straight overlooking the Atlantic, the new Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro will take to the track — a contemporary expression of the brand's hyper-retro philosophy, a motorcycle capable of fusing timeless design with superbike performance. In the Vintage Rally, dedicated to historic off-road motorcycles, the MV Agusta 125 Regolarità of 1968 will take the spotlight — an emblematic model of the brand's competitive off-road vocation in the 1960s.

Filippo Bassoli, Chief Brand & Marketing Officer of MV Agusta Motor S.p.A., commented: "Wheels and Waves represents far more than a motorcycle event: it is a place where culture, creativity and passion come together in an authentic way. For MV Agusta, this debut holds a special meaning, as it allows us to tell the full story of the brand within a single context: the technological innovation of the 2026 lineup, alongside the historical and identity value of our classic motorcycles. Being in Biarritz means making direct contact with an international community of true enthusiasts, who share our very same vision of the motorcycle as a form of art in motion. For me personally, it will be a true honour to represent the brand by taking part in the Vintage Rally myself, riding the historic MV Agusta 125 Regolarità — a competition to which I am particularly attached. I have been attending Wheels and Waves since its very first edition in 2012 and have contributed to the creation of this race from its earliest days."
